Patriots recreate Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl ad

Kendrick Lamar and the sound of “Not Like Us” and his latest “GNX” album will tour nationally next year.

On Tuesday, the rapper announced on social media that he would be going on a North American tour with R&B singer SZA at a majority of NFL stadiums. The tour begins at the Minnesota Vikings’ US Bank Stadium and ends at the Washington Commanders’ Northwest Stadium.

One team expressed excitement about Lamar’s appearance in their stadium.

Hours after the West Coast rapper announced the tour, the New England Patriots and Gillette Stadium followed up with an announcement of their own, recreating Lamar’s Halftime announcement of Super Bowl LIX.

Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne mimicked Lamar’s announcement when he put footballs in the throwing machine at the stadium with an American flag on the video board, matching Lamar’s announcement.

The Patriots poked fun at “tv off,” a track from Lamar’s latest album with a post referencing a line in the song that was produced by DJ Mustard.

Gillette Stadium is the rapper’s ninth stop after playing two shows at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, home of the New York Jets and New York Giants.

Lamar was named the Super Bowl LIX halftime show headliner in New Orleans after a feud with rapper Drake saw a handful of chart-topping diss records, including “Like That” and “euphoria.”

The Compton MC released his latest album, “GNX,” on Nov. 22, and it features SZA on two songs — “luther” and “gloria.”
