SZA is coming home – and she’s bringing Kendrick Lamar with her.

SZA, aka Solána Rowe of Maplewood, has announced her Grand National Tour with hip-hop superstar Lamar. It will include two shows, May 8 and 9 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

Tickets, whose price has not yet been released, go on sale Wednesday, December 4 and to the general public on Friday, December 6 via grandnationaltour.com. The presale is open to holders of the Cash App Visa Card, an app advertised as a “financial platform” where multiple functions can be performed, including Bitcoin usage. Visit cash.app/exclusives/kendrickandsza for more information.

SZA’s latest album, “SOS,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in December 2022, breaking the record for the biggest streaming week for an R&B album in the US. “SOS” spent 10 non-consecutive weeks atop the chart, becoming the first R&B album to spend its first seven weeks atop the chart since Newark native Whitney Houston’s “Whitney” held the top spot for seven weeks in 1987.

SZA’s hits include “Kill Bill,” “Kiss Me More” featuring Doja Cat, “All the Stars” and “Saturn.” The 35-year-old attended Columbia High School in Maplewood and later worked at area men’s clubs to support her music career, including Nardone’s on Routes 1-9 in Elizabeth.

Lamar’s hits include “Humble,” “Like That” and “Not Like Us.” SZA and Lamar recently teamed up on the tracks “Gloria” and “Luther” from Lamar’s latest album, “GNX.”

The tour begins on Saturday, April 19 in Minneapolis and ends on Wednesday, June 18 in Washington, DC. Shows include Monday, May 5 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
