Fortnite Down: Server Downtime For Chapter 6 Season – Here’s When Fortnite Will Be Back Online | Game | Entertainment

The news was announced by Epic Games on X along with a preview of Chapter 6 Season 1.

“Prepare to hunt and kill demons!” reads an epic tweet. “Downtime for v33.00 begins at 10:00 PM ET with matchmaking ending shortly before.”

Fortnite (including LEGO Fortnite, Creative, Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, Save the World and Rocket Racing) is expected to remain offline throughout the night.

Of course, there’s no official downtime schedule, which means Fortnite could stay offline even longer, potentially until noon. The server status website suggests it will run for eight hours, meaning it should be back online at 11 a.m.

The start of a new season also means a larger download size than usual for the new update, so make sure you have enough space to install the patch.

Once the game comes back online, you can start enjoying the new content, which includes a brand new map and a host of rewards via the Battle Pass.

As part of the new season, players will be able to battle giant bosses like Godzilla and Kong. There is also a demon arena which is probably home to some of the best weapons and loot.

Battle Pass skins include Baymax from Big Hero 6, who even comes with a Samurai edit. Other Samurai-style characters will also be available in the Battle Pass.

Elsewhere, Epic Games will introduce new movement techniques, including wall jumping and rolling on landing.

The launch of the new chapter also coincides with the release of a streamlined reward system where XP is earned across all Fortnite modes.

Likewise, Fortnite Crew members will receive all Battle Passes from each mode as part of their subscription.
