Arch Manning will transfer to the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2025

THIS ARTICLE IS A PREDICTION:

The seat for Kalen DeBoer at Alabama is starting to get really hot after a 24-3 loss. That’s not the standard for the Crimson Tide, and an 8-3 record, while good for some teams, isn’t enough after the Nick Saban years. DeBoer gets a pass with it being his first season, but his second season will be critical to the team’s improvement, and the deciding factor is the quarterback position.

Currently, Jalen Milroe is the quarterback for the Crimson Tide, and his shortcomings are massively holding the team back. DeBoer has a great offensive scheme, one that made the most of Michael Penix Jr in Washington. Still, Milroe has struggled to consistently produce due to having inconsistent mechanics, which has led to accuracy issues. His ability to read the field is not great and he too often struggles to review his progress and makes the wrong reads. His release is also slow, which leads to him stopping the offense without anticipating throws and missing the timing on routes.

The ideal quarterback for Alabama to go after to save their future is current Texas Longhorns backup quarterback, Arch Manning.

Yes, that Manning, the nephew of Eli and Peyton Manning. While Manning would have an open path to becoming the starting quarterback for Texas after Ewers’ departure for the 2025 NFL Draft, it is not wise for Manning to stay there. Currently, Ewers’ draft stock is falling as the offense holds back quarterbacks from being able to fully showcase their talent. When Manning started, he showed better command of the offense, and yet Texas still went with Ewers, who has limited the offense up. That should be an eye-opener for Manning, and a key factor for him to transfer.

When Manning started in place of an injured Ewers, he threw for 939 yards and nine touchdowns with just two interceptions over a 67.8% completion rate. In addition, Manning showed his rushing ability with 81 yards and three touchdowns. He displayed a quick release that often stood out as it makes Manning a natural passer. Not to mention, he is able to maneuver around the pocket well feeling pressure and also be able to use his legs to pick up yards when needed.

Alabama was a top school that Manning considered coming out of high school, and he may get the chance to turn the program around and lift them right back up to their standard. In DeBoer’s scheme, Manning is the ideal quarterback, and DeBoer is the perfect head coach to make the most of Manning’s potential. Alabama has to be the top transfer destination for Manning to consider, and he is the one quarterback who can save DeBoer’s job.
