The senior Longhorns quarterback suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter of Texas’ Week 13 win over Kentucky. He played the rest of the game, but coach Steve Sarkisian said he called his second-half foul in a way that would not expose Ewers.

It is the second injury problem Ewers has had this season. He previously missed two and a half games with an abdominal strain he suffered against UTSA.
