Urban Meyer believes there is no chance Texas overlooks Texas A&M

Urban Meyer have confidence in Texasto think the Longhorns are far from overlooked Texas A&M heading into the return of their rivalry matchup in Week 14.

If Steve Sarkisian squad can win Saturday night, they will clinch their spot in the SEC Championship Game, and likely College football playoffalso. As we get closer to kickoff, Meyer explained why he expects Texas to take care of business against the Aggies in College Station.

“I got Texas at Texas A&M. There’s no way Texas is going to overlook (Texas A&M),” Meyer stated that The Triple Option podcast. “I mean, you get the best version. I said that the other day when they gave the layoff when there were some losses because Texas was kind of on the outside looking in. One of the top three rosters in college football, they’re pretty healthy. It’s at A&M and I’m going to say this, I grew up watching this game and then some power brokers got together and said, ‘Hey, let’s not play this game in one piece time.’ It just pisses me off when something like this happens, but who knows what was behind door number two of that.

“This is a Hall of Fame, legendary coaches and players played in this game. I can’t wait to see it. But I think Texas covers. I think you’re going to get better and better versions of Texas Longhorns as they expire this season.”

As you can see, Meyer is hyped on the return of the rivalry. While he doesn’t count on Texas A&M to pull an upset or anything, since he expects Texas to take care of business, he thinks it should be a wild atmosphere in College Station.

There’s no love between the Longhorns and Aggies, and Urban Meyer recognizes it. Time will tell if Texas can take care of business and finish their regular season strong, but Texas A&M and Mike Elko will hope to throw a wrench into their plans when the dust settles in Week 14.
