The West Edmonton Mall, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Santa are teaming up for the Ben Stelter Foundation

West Edmonton Mall hosted “Slapshots & Snapshots: Photos with Nuge at North Pole Place” earlier this week. The highly anticipated event saw bookings sell out in less than 24 hours.

The lucky guests who booked in time were able to capture a unique holiday memory with Oilers star Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Santa while supporting a meaningful foundation in the community.

100% of booking fees from the event were donated to the Ben Stelter Foundation, continuing the legacy of Ben’s big heart and generosity in helping children fight Giloblastoma and other cancers.

Mike Stelter, executive director of the foundation and Ben’s father, spoke to 89.3 The Raven about the continued support of the Edmonton Oilers organization.

Although born in BC, Nugent-Hopkins has called Alberta home since 2010 when he started his WHL career in Red Deer with the Rebels, he has since spent 14 years with Edmonton and seen his fair share of ups and downs, but says he is grateful for the undying support of the fans in the province.

Nugent-Hopkins discussed the relationship between the Oilers and the Stelter Foundation and what it means to him.
