Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle ends Thanksgiving drought

It’s no secret that the Dallas Cowboys haven’t been a great offensive team this season. What’s more, the Cowboys have struggled to do much of anything in their home building at AT&T Stadium.

Prior to Thanksgiving Day’s contest against New York Giants The Cowboys had a lone rushing touchdown in five games played in front of their home crowd, but amazingly, it didn’t even come from a running back. The outstanding touchdown belonged to quarterback Dak Prescott, which meant that no running back had run into the end zone.

And then a Thanksgiving miracle happened with the help of Rico Dowdle!

Dowdle scored with four and a half minutes left in the third quarter, and when he did, it was a rushing touchdown by a home team running back that officially happened for the Dallas Cowboys. That it took until Thanksgiving for this seal to finally break is something.
