The 50-year-old showed up to the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday morning and donned a pair of sunglasses — despite rain and cloudy skies, prompting jokes from NBC viewers.

“Rain or shine, you’re going out there,” the “Tonight Show” host said on “Today” at the parade, per USA todayand said that “everyone is still out here cheering” despite the drizzle. “It’s the best vacation.”

But it was precisely the weather – and the presenter’s choice of accessories – that confused viewers.

“Sunglasses in the rain is the most Jimmy Fallon that Jimmy Fallon can,” one person wrote on X, per Daily Mail.

“Jimmy Fallon rocking sunglasses at the Macy’s Parade – in the rain – felt like comedy gold,” wrote another user. “Who needs weather-appropriate choices when you’ve got the *vibes*?”

“It’s raining at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Why is Jimmy Fallon wearing these sunglasses?” snarled another.

Some users even speculated that the actor might be hungover, claiming it’s the only logical reason anyone would want shade on a cloudy, stormy day.

“Jimmy Fallon got an umbrella and wore sunglasses in this wet weather,” wrote one X user. “He got a hangover.”

While the posts are mere allegations, Fallon did this in the past write on social media that “no one knows when you’re hungover” if you wear sunglasses.

The “Saturday Night Live” alum performed a song with the Roots when he hit the 34th Street Macy’s flagship after last year’s lip sync error.

Other performers included “Vanderpump Rules” alum Ariana Madix as she joined the star-studded line-up of “Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo, Billy Porter, Kylie Minogue and more during the procession, which started at 8:30 ET.

Years ago, after being called out for not singing live at the parade, John Legend revealed that most of the stars are forced to lip-sync “because the floats don’t have the capacity to handle the sound demands of a live performance.”
