Indy-area restaurants open Thanksgiving for dine-in or carryout

Thanksgiving is here. If you’re looking to host and need an extra hand, don’t panic just yet. Several restaurants in the Indianapolis area offer delivery of meals and side dishes, and several are even open Thanksgiving Day.

Whether you want to fill your table at home or eat somewhere else, these eateries have you covered.

Restaurants open on Thanksgiving for all-you-can-eat dinners

The following restaurants will open their dining rooms for Thanksgiving meals as well as offer a carry-out option.

Bob Evans

Several locations in central Indiana, bobevans.com. Hours vary from location to location

The farmhouse-inspired chain will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Thanksgiving. Diners can pre-order heat and serve Farmhouse Feasts with ham or turkey and sides that serve up to 10 people ($85 to $160) for pickup or delivery. The same menu items will be available to those dining at Bob Evans locations Thanksgiving Day. Full menus can be found and online orders made at bobevans.com/thanksgiving.

Buca di Beppo

35 N. Illinois St. and 659 US 31 S. Greenwood, dineatbuca.com. Open 11.00 to 21.30

The Minneapolis-based purveyor of kitsch and red sauce will offer Italian-American-inspired Thanksgiving meals for dine-in and pickup through Thanksgiving Day. Buca’s holiday spreads include turkey, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, spicy Italian sausage stuffing, seasonal vegetables and an assortment of sweets. To-go parties serve three to 20 people ($105 to $450) and can be ordered hot or cold to reheat later. Reservations and orders can be made at dineatbuca.com/thanksgiving2024.

The capital grid

40 W. Washington St., thecapitalgrille.com. Open 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m

In addition to its typical menu, Capital Grille will offer traditional holiday entrees and sides on Thanksgiving. Those looking to eat at home can order a $135 heat-and-serve bundle of side dishes that serves four people, with brioche filling, gravy, mashed potatoes, French green beans, sweet potatoes, cranberry and pear chutney and rolls. Diners can reserve or place orders for collection on November 27 and 28 at thecapitalgrille.com/events/thanksgiving-dinner-menu.

Cracker Barrel

Several locations in central Indiana, crackerbarrel.com. Hours vary from location to location.

Cracker Barrel will offer a trimmed menu on Thanksgiving for dine-in and takeout. Single-serving plates with traditional turkeys and traditional sides, as well as vegetarian options, range from $10 to $18. Execution and curb pick-up orders can be placed at crackerbarrel.com/menu/thanksgiving-day.

Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant

3815 E. 96thth St. and 8696 EUS Hwy 36, Avon, chwinery.com. Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m

The Illinois-based winery will offer a Thanksgiving menu ($35 per adult, $15 per child 12 and under) including butternut squash soup, turkey with gravy, stuffing, roasted green beans and carrots, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin praline cheesecake.

Eddie Merlot’s

3645 E. 96thth St., eddiemerlots.com. Open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m

The seafood and steak chain will offer a mix of traditional Thanksgiving and steakhouse dishes, including a salad, roast turkey, a choice of two sides and a dessert. Dine-in meals are $49 per adult and $24 per child. Hot and cold versions of the meal, available in single portions ($49 per adult, $24 per child) or bulk ($225 for a five-person meal, $440 to serve 10), can be ordered for pickup Thanksgiving Day at eddiemerlots.com/promotions/thanksgiving.

Maggiano’s Little Italy

3550 E. 86thth St., maggianos.com. Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m

An exclusive take on the classic Thanksgiving feast will be available to diners at Maggiano’s, which also offers hot and cold carryout packages. The dining menu includes a charcuterie starter, salad, two entrees (choice of roasted turkey, smoked ham or salmon), choice of two pastas and two traditional sides, and a choice of dessert (pumpkin praline cheesecake, apple crostada or chocolate layer cake).

Execution packages that serve four to five people include a shortened version of the dine-in spread. Cold carry-out bundles cost $210 and are available for pickup November 26 and 27. Hot bundles cost $220 and must be picked up on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th. Online pre-orders open on November 20 and must be placed no later than evening before collection at maggianos.com/thanksgiving2024/.

Rick’s CafĂ© Boatyard

4050 Dandy Trail, ricksboatyard.com. Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m

The eatery by the water serves a turkey dinner with traditional sidesbaked bread and pumpkin pie for $33 each. adult ($16 for children 10 and under), with additional sides serving four people available for $12 to $14. Rick’s will also offer the same items in takeout meals that “generously feed” four people for $175. Orders can be placed by emailing [email protected] for pickup from 9-11 or 15-17 Thanksgiving Day.

Sullivan’s Steakhouse

3316 E. 86th St., sullivanssteakhouse.com. Open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m

Sullivan’s will serve a three-course meal including soup or salad, carved roast turkey with apple sausage stuffing, gravy and cranberry relish, a choice of two traditional sides and a choice of dessert. Adult meals cost $51, while children dine for $25. The Northside steakhouse also offers to-go versions of its Thanksgiving spread, serving five ($225) or 10 people ($440). Orders must be placed no later than November 26 for collection on November 27 or 28; you can place orders and make reservations at sullivanssteakhouse.com/promotions/thanksgiving/.

Weber Grill

10 N. Illinois St., webergrillrestaurant.com. Open 11:30 to 21:00

Weber Grill serves a three-course turkey dinner with soup or salad, smoked turkey with grilled sausage stuffing and gravy, roasted fall vegetables, cranberry sauce and a choice of whipped sweet potatoes or garlic mashed potatoes with a variety of pumpkin desserts ($42.95 for adults, $19.95 for children under 12 years of age).

Diners can also order to-go plates of the same menu items and some additional dishes in half orders (serves four to five) or full orders (serves eight to 10). Carryout options still available for pre-order include a la carte sides ($11 to $33) and pumpkin ($24.95) and apple pie ($26.95). Dining only

The following restaurants will be offering Thanksgiving feasts, but they do not have carryout options or have already closed their carryout orders.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse

14 W. Maryland St., delfriscos.com. Open 16-21

The latest steakhouse chain to open downtown, Del Frisco’s will offer a meal that can be loosely described as Thanksgiving-inspired: A 38-ounce New York strip steak ($195) with a side of sweet potato casserole ($19). Reservations can be made at delfriscos.com/event/Holiday-feast-2024-1.

Matt the Miller’s HC Tavern

11 City Center Dr., Carmel, mtmtavern.com. Open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m

Matt the Miller’s will offer a three-course meal including soup or salad, turkey (8 ounces for $39, 12 ounces for $49), Lake Erie walleye ($41) or steak ($49 to $69) with traditional sides and either pumpkin pie or chocolate mousse. There’s also a kids’ menu with less adventurous options ranging from $12 to $16. Reservations are required and can be placed by calling (317) 805-1860.

McCormick and Schmick’s

110 N. Illinois St., mccormickandschmicks.com. Open 11:30 to 21:00

In addition to the daily menu, McCormick and Schmick’s will serve a turkey dinner with soup or salad, roast turkey, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce and vegetables. Adults dine for $39, children for $15.

The Oceanaire

30 S. Meridian St., theoceanaire.com. Open 13.00 to 20.00

For $59 per guest, The Oceanaire offers a 12-ounce roasted turkey breast with cranberry sage stuffing, cranberry chutney, green beans, almond, creamed corn and mashed potatoes. Alternatively, diners can upgrade to a $79 two-course meal including a 6-ounce filet mignon, lobster tail, jumbo shrimp and asparagus with pecan turtle cheesecake for dessert. Prime 47 Carmel

Prime 47’s Clay Terrace outpost will serve traditional turkey, sides and desserts Thanksgiving Day afternoon and evening.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

45 S. Illinois St., 2727 E. 86th St., ruthschris.com. Open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m

The New Orleans-based steakhouse serves a three-course meal with soup or salad, roasted turkey with sausage and herb stuffing, gravy and cranberry relish, a classic side of your choice and pumpkin cheesecake. Adults dine for $48, children for $20.

Season 52

8650 Keystone Crossing, seasons52.com. Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m

Seasons 52’s Thanksgiving spread features turkey and gravy, mashed Yukon gold and sweet potatoes, brioche and sage filling, green beans, cranberry relish and a layered pumpkin pie-like dessert in a shot glass. You can reserve at seasons52.com/events/traditional-thanksgiving-dinner.
