Katie Holmes wore luxurious silk trousers with striking socks

Katie Holmes is the queen of an eclectic coffee round, gathering an unexpected amount of bright colors, silhouettes and fabrics during her errands – and somehow making them work. When Holmes went to work at the Barrymore Theater for his Broadway production of Our cityshe wore one of her new go-to style staples: a jewel-toned silk statement piece on the bottom. This time she pulled out a pair of emerald green pants that subtly flared out at the bottom and screamed quiet luxury. Clutching a bright red holiday coffee, the actress kept warm in a fuzzy black ankle-length teddy coat contrasted with caramel brown suede accents along the buttons, hoods and pockets, which were turned inside out.

While Holmes loves to turn an “ugly” shoe trend on its head, her flashy socks were the footwear choice that stood out from the rest of her outfit on Saturday. While her chunky black leather loafers peeked out from under her emerald green pants, she flashed a pair of loud, bright turquoise socks that clashed with the rest of her outfit’s color scheme.
