Jalen Williams injury update: OKC Thunder forward against Warriors after injuring right eye

UPDATE: The Thunder held on for a 105-101 win against the Warriors on Wednesday night in San Francisco.

Thunder forth Jalen Williams will not return to Wednesday’s game against the Warriors after suffering a right eye injury in the second quarter.

Williams was shaken up after being hit in the right eye by the Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga on a dunk attempt. Williams sat on the floor of the Chase Center for several moments before walking to the locker room with OKC’s training staff.

In just 16 minutes of action Wednesday in San Francisco, Williams approached a triple-double with 13 points, seven assists and six rebounds.

Next up for the Thunder is an NBA Cup game against the Lakers at 9 p.m. Friday in Los Angeles.
