The Great Debate: Who Has the Better Pumpkin Pie? Sam’s Club or Costco? We put them to the (taste) test.

IDAHO FALLS — It’s the question on everyone’s mind this Thanksgiving — who has the better pumpkin pie? Sam’s Club or Costco?

Ok – maybe that’s just OUR thoughts on this holiday season.

The pies are extremely popular, extremely delicious and they fly off the shelves every year.

Pumpkin pies from Costco and Sam’s Club are a Thanksgiving staple for many. Both are nearly 12″ and weigh nearly four pounds – and they each cost less than $6 ($5.99 for the Kirkland Signature pie at Costco, $5.98 for the Member’s Mark pie at Sam’s Club).

Sam’s club describes his seasonal dessert as “a classic pumpkin pie with a flaky crust and a rich, balanced filling made with brown sugar, 100% pumpkin puree and just the right amount of cinnamon and spice. It’s the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving or Christmas party!”

Costco began selling its pumpkin pie in 1987, according to the The daily mealand a Costco fan’s Facebook page shows a guest purchasing over 90 pies during the holiday season.

So which pie tastes better? Sam’s or Costco? The East Idaho News team decided to try them out and judge for yourself. Check out the very unscientific results in the video player above, and let us know which pie you like best in the comments below.

Happy Thanksgiving!
