Barcelona‘s Robert Lewandowski scored twice as the hosts cruised to a 3-0 victory over the French side Brest Tuesday, where the Polish striker came to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the only players to pass the 100 goal mark in the competition.

Lewandowski put Barca ahead after being fouled by the goalkeeper Marco Bizot and converted from the spot in the 10th minute.

The home team wasted several chances to extend their lead and were almost seized by a couple of counterattacks before Dani Olmo got their second after dribbling past two defenders, with Lewandowski finishing the win in extra time.

The win lifted Barca to second in the 36-team table with 12 points from five games, one point behind Inter Milan and level with third Liverpoolwho is the host Real Madrid on Wednesday. Brest fell to ninth place with 10 points.
