Wendy Williams Gets Heartbreaking Health Update

There has been incredibly sad news about Wendy Williams.

Williams’ guardian claims the former talk show host’s health has taken a turn for the worse as she faces severe cognitive decline.

New court documents have revealed the tragic extent of her condition, with Williams “remaining cognitively impaired, permanently disabled and incapacitated” from her battle with dementia, according to the star’s guardian Sabrina Morrissey in a Nov. 12 lawsuit, according to reports from multiple media outlets including New York Post and Blasting.

The case was presented in a New York courtroom and describes her devastating condition.

Since May 2022, she has been under a court-ordered guardianship overseeing her health and finances after her bank, Wells Fargo, claimed she was “incapacitated”.

The lawsuit continues to read: “In January 2022, after becoming aware of a pattern of disturbing events regarding (Wendy’s) welfare and finances, Wells Fargo took the highly unusual step of initiating guardianship proceedings on its own initiative in the Supreme Court of New York, New York County (‘Guardianship Proceeding’), to seek the court’s appointment of an independent guardian over (Wendy’s) financial affairs.”

The lawsuit is part of a legal battle involving Morrissey with Lifetime over the release of the documentary “Where’s Wendy Williams?” which fell earlier this year.

Back in February, Morrissey sued to stop the documentary’s release. It was ultimately released on Lifetime and highlighted the Daytime TV talk show host’s battle with alcohol.

In this case, Morrissey is fighting for the court to redact certain parts of the case to protect Williams’ privacy. More specifically, information about her health, attachment to family and finances.

The heartbreaking news comes as Williams continues to battle frontotemporal dementia and primary aggressive aphasia, both of which have severely affected her cognitive abilities. It’s the same devastating medical problem that actor Bruce Willis is currently battling.
