Williams’ health update comes from legal paperwork filed by Morrissey on Nov. 12 as part of an ongoing legal battle with Lifetime over their Where is Wendy Williams? documentary.

Morrissey filed a restraining order against the network on February 20, four days before the premiere of the documentary in an attempt to prevent its release. The request was denied by a judge who said that stopping the film was an “impermissible prior restraint on speech that violates the First Amendment of the Constitution.”
