The Thanksgiving front brings big changes

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – All eyes are on Thanksgiving as a strong cold front brings some big changes as we head into the holiday season.

Now a weak front is passing through this morning which will keep us a little cooler today. Our highs will be in the lower 70s compared to the 80-degree weather yesterday. Some morning clouds will give way to afternoon sun.

The focus is on Thanksgiving as a strong cold front crosses the area. This can be as early as the morning, which means most of the day can be cooler than hot and humid. There will also be a chance of rain as this front moves through.

Expect a cold holiday weekend behind the cold front. Highs will be in the 50s each day and lows may drop to freezing over our interior spots.
