MrBeast Insists He Has Footage To Show Amazon Reality TV Series Claims Were ‘Blown Out Of Proportion’, Releases Teaser Trailer

MrBeast has hit back at claims his upcoming Amazon reality TV series “shamelessly exploited” its contestants, insisting he has the footage to show it was “blown out of proportion”.

In September, MrBeast, the largest YouTube channel on the platform with more than 300 million subscribers, and Amazon were sued by contestants on the competition show Beast Games, who alleged sexual harassment and “chronic abuse.”

Five unnamed contestants on the show, which pits 1,000 contestants against each other for a single cash prize of $5 million, have had a class-action lawsuit filed against both MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, and Amazon over the alleged mistreatment.

According to lawsuitparticipants were not paid properly, experienced “emotional distress”, did not receive uninterrupted meal breaks or rest breaks, and were deprived of medical care, food, sleep and the necessity of basic hygiene. Female participants were allegedly exposed to “a hostile work environment.”

While the 26-year-old has not yet formally commented on the matter, MrBeast replied to a user on X / Twitter who asked the prosecutors. “We have tons of behind-the-scenes stuff that drops when the show does to show how blown out of proportion these claims were,” MrBeast said. “Just can’t release it now because it would ruin the games.”

Beast Games was announced in March as “the biggest reality competition” ever. It aims to turn MrBeast’s regular YouTube formula of having strangers compete for big prizes into a series for Amazon’s Prime Video platform.

“While the contestants knew at the time of signing the contract at the start of production that they faced a potentially long and challenging competition, they claim they got much more than they bargained for,” said lawyers representing the plaintiffs.

“Several participants (ended up) being hospitalized, while others reported suffering physical and psychological complications while experiencing chronic abuse, humiliation and, for the female participants, hostile working conditions.”

Undeterred, MrBeast released a teaser trailer for the series, while admits his latest YouTube videos had “def a little bit of me filming this show/spent a bajillion hours on it.”
