1 day agoUtah Hockey Club defenseman Mikhail Sergachev had a power play assist as the team was defeated by the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 on Sunday. He combined with Dylan Guenther to set up Logan Cooley for the opening goal late in the first period. After his trade from Tampa Bay, Sergachev has stepped into a bigger role on his new team, and Utah has not disappointed. He has 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 21 games, tying him with Carolina’s Shayne Gostisbehere and Seattle’s Brandon Montour for the most points by any defenseman on a new team this season.
