Is ‘Moana 2’ streaming on Netflix or Disney+?

How far will you go to see Moana 2? At least you’ll have to walk the distance to your nearest theater, because the sequel to this animated Disney film is only in theaters opening this week.

The follow-up to the popular animated musical from 2016 Moana, Moana 2 takes place three years after the events of the first film. Voice actors Auliʻi Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson return as Moana and Maui, who must embark on a dangerous mission together to save their world as they know it.

Additional voice cast includes Hualālai Chung as Moni, Rose Matafeo as Loto, David Fane as Kele, Awhimai Fraser as Matangi, Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda as Simea, Temuera Morrison as Chief Tui, Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, Rachel House as Gramma Tala, Gerald Faitala Ramsey as Tautai Vasa, and Alan Tudyk as Heihei.

Although Lin-Manuel Miranda didn’t write the score for this sequel, we’re sure there’s still plenty to love Moana 2. Read on for everything you need to know about where to look Moana 2including when we expect to see Moana 2 streaming on Disney+.

Right now it’s the only place to see Moana 2 is in theaters when the film opens in theaters on Wednesday, November 27. You can find a screening at a cinema near you via Fandango.

Is Moana 2 stream on Netflix?

Moana 2 does not stream on Netflix, and most likely will never stream on Netflix. This is because Moana 2 is a Disney film and will have a streaming home on the Disney-owned streamer, Disney+.

Is Moana 2 stream on Disney Plus?

Moana 2 not yet streaming on Disney+. Right now the film is only in cinemas. That said, we expect to see Moana 2 streaming on Disney+ eventually. While one Moana 2 Disney+ release date has yet to be announced, we can make an educated guess as to when the movie will stream based on past Disney releases.

Another new Disney animated film, From the inside out 2was released on premium video-on-demand about two months after opening in theaters and began streaming on Disney+ about three months after opening in theaters. If Moana 2 follows a similar release strategy, you can see Moana 2 on digital platforms around the end of January 2025 and streaming on Disney+ around the end of February 2025.
