Pacers vs Pelicans Prediction for 11/25/24: Picks, Odds, Injury Updates

(updated with new information)

The Indiana Pacers are on the back end of a home back-to-back when they New Orleans Pelicans visit. Both teams are badly beaten.

The Pacers (7-10) snapped a three-game losing streak Sunday, and Tyrese Haliburton had a strong game (21 points, 5-of-11 3-pointers) against the Washington Wizards. They remain without four rotation players — starters Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard, and reserves Ben Sheppard and Isaiah Jackson.

The Pelicans (4-13) are missing big star Zion Williamson, regulars Herbert Jones and Jose Alvarado and perhaps guards Dejounte Murray and CJ McCollum. They have won just one of their last 11 games.

The Pelicans beat the Pacers 125-118 on Nov. 1 behind Williamson’s 34 points. The Pacers lost Nesmith and Jackson to long-term injuries in that game.

Pacers vs Pelicans Prediction, Picks

Dustin Dopirak, IndyStar: Pacers 122-115

With their top three wing defenders injured, and coming off three road losses, the Pacers are coming off well against the team in last place in the Eastern Conference. The worst of the West arrives on Monday.

After beating Washington, New Orleans comes to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Pelicans are far more decimated by injuries than the Pacers.

The Pelicans still have a little more punch than the Wizards, so they should keep it interesting. Brandon Ingram will certainly be a tough cover without Aaron Nesmith available. But if the Pacers maintain any kind of offensive rhythm, they should get their second straight win.
