A police situation closed both directions of Loop 202 Santan at Gilbert Road on November 25.

CHANDLER, Ariz. – Both directions of the Loop 202 Santan Freeway in the East Valley are closed due to a police situation, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.

The eastbound lanes are closed at Cooper Road. The westbound lanes are closed at Gilbert road.

Chandler Police say the incident involves a welfare check.

“Expect delays and seek an alternate route. There is no estimated time to reopen the highway,” ADOT said.
