Microsoft 365 is working to resolve potential Outlook and Teams outages

If you’re a Microsoft 365 user, this Monday may have been a little more frustrating for you than usual.

The software product family announced early Monday morning that it is investigating an issue affecting Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams users. Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook and Teams, are heavily relied upon by many workplaces around the world.

In an afternoon update, Microsoft 365 said it is “facing delays” in its efforts to resolve the issues.

“We understand the significant impact of this event on your businesses and are working to provide relief as quickly as possible,” Microsoft said on X.

Down detectoran online platform that monitors website and service outages says user reports indicate problems with Microsoft 365, Outlook and Team. Reports of problems for the services appeared to increase just before 5 p.m. 1 p.m

Users wrote in the comments sections of the Downdetector website to share the problems they have faced this working day.

“It’s almost 2:00 PM EST. I still can’t access Outlook,” wrote one commenter in the Microsoft 365 comments section.

Another commenter from Michigan said their Outlook account has been down since around 10 EST.
