Bill Clinton says Trump's cabinet is about loyalty 'no matter who gets hurt'
Bill Clinton said he is not surprised by Trump’s picks for the new cabinet.

In an interview with MSNBC about his memoir ‘Citizen: My life after the White House,’ former Pres Bill Clinton said that Donald Trump’s choices in government are about loyalty to him, that he doesn’t care who gets hurt. “We have to listen to Donald Trump. He has been very straightforward about how to use the law. He’s interested in people who are loyal to him 100% of the time, no matter what the issue is, no matter what the facts, no matter who gets hurt,” the Democrat told Jonathan Capehart.
Clinton, 78, said Trump wants the people who just say yes — above all else. And Lord knows he has done everything he could to destroy that trust. And he believes he can just say, well, I’ve appointed these people who are smart, and they’re going to shake things up.”
“We demonize all companies and all people who wear ties – like you and me, to work – and have a good education, and we degrade the legitimacy of not only people who were perhaps too inviolable and too set in their ways in the past but also people who actually know things that are very important to us today and very important to our continued growth and prosperity and harmony,” Clinton said.
Bill Clinton has also spoken out in his book about allegations that his staff damaged the West Wing prior to his exit from the White House in 2001 in defiance of then-President-elect George W Bush. He opened up that he was not aware of the accident. “The whole thing bothered me because I had made it clear that I wanted a smooth, cooperative transition and we had done exactly that,” he wrote.
“Within days, some people finally went on the record to say that either no damage had been done or that the ‘W’ accident allegations were greatly exaggerated.”
China, silverware and salt and pepper shakers were among the items that reportedly disappeared.
