The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Held in the Abady Al-Johar Arena over two days IPL 2025 Auction is an opportunity for the 10 IPL teams to build the core of their squad for the next three seasons.

The IPL mega auction, held every three years, allows teams to collect their squads and let them start over if they want to.

The 10th cricket Teams will look to fill a total of 204 slots, including 70 for foreign players, in the IPL 2025 auction and will have a choice of 577 cricketers, 367 Indians and 210 overseas players to choose from.

The minimum base price for a player in the IPL 2025 mega auction is 30 lakh IPL while the maximum base price is 2 crore IPL.

Lucknow Super Giants acquired Rishabh pants for ₹27 crore in the IPL 2025 auction, making him the one most expensive player in IPL history to date. Earlier, Punjab Kings paid 26.75 crore to Shreyas Iyer which saw him briefly hold the record.

Each team has been allocated a total budget of ₹120 crore to build a squad of minimum 18 players and maximum 25 players for IPL 2025. A maximum of eight overseas players are allowed in each team.
