Bucs QB Baker Mayfield taunts Tommy DeVito after diving TD

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield surged up the middle for 10 yards, intercepted New York Giants linebacker Cor’Dale Flott in the end zone, then made a gesture by holding Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito’s signature touchdown -celebration Sunday.

DeVito — starting in place of Daniel Jones, whom the Giants released earlier this week — typically raises both arms in the air while snapping his fingers, a nod to his Italian heritage. Mayfield made it aggressive in the end zone with :20 left before halftime as the Bucs took a 23-0 lead into the locker room.

The Bucs’ sideline joined him in celebration. Mayfield finished the half 19-of-23 for 230 yards and has led three touchdown drives, with Mayfield and running backs Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker all scoring with their legs.
