A 17-point lead in the third quarter wasn’t enough to protect the Golden State Warriors from the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night.

Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs went on a 40-13 run over the final 13 minutes of play to hand Stephen Curry and the Warriors just their fourth loss of the season.

Curry and Wembanyama traded three-point shots late in Saturday’s game as the Spurs cut into the Warriors’ lead.

Rookie guard Stephon Castle then scored on a 27-foot jumper to pull the Spurs ahead with 3:48 left on the clock.
