Update at 19:44: The crash has been cleared, but traffic is still snarling in the area. Expect delays for some time.

Previous post: A wreck on northbound Interstate 5 in Tacoma near the Tacoma Dome had three lanes closed as of 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The wreck happened around 6:54 p.m., the Washington State Department of Transportation reported.

Traffic was backed up to South Thompson Avenue and along state Route 7 and Pacific Avenue near the crash.
