Norwegian Cruise Line cancels 38 sailings: Travel Weekly

Norwegian Cruise Line has canceled 38 cruises scheduled between November 2025 and April 2026.

The canceled cruises were on Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Jewel and Norwegian Star, according to a statement sent to travel advisors on Wednesday. The line has not published details of the ships’ reallocations.

The Jewel’s Tampa travel plans from November 23rd to April 5th have been cancelled. The ship was scheduled to sail Caribbean cruises of five to 14 days.

Between November 2 and April 12, Dawn was scheduled to sail 12- to 21-day cruises, looping around the southern tip of Africa before heading to the Persian Gulf, cutting across to Singapore and circling back around about Africa on its way to Europe.

The Star’s nixed cruises include the ship’s season in South America and Antarctica between November 20 and April 14.

Affected guests will receive a full refund of the ticket paid to the original form of payment provided at the time of booking. The line will also offer a 10% discount through a future cruise credit.

Travel advisor commissions will be protected for bookings that have been paid in full.

Due to rescheduling, NCL had also canceled a 14-night South Pacific cruise on Norwegian Sun scheduled to depart on August 7, 2025, according to Cruise Industry News. NCL had also canceled short cruises on Norwegian Getaway departing August 17 and August 21, 2026 because NCL booked a full ship charter, reported Cruise Industry News.
