The outage affected households and businesses in several northern postcodes, including in Redding.

The ISP said crews were expected to have the problem(s) resolved by 10 p.m. 3:30 p.m., going back on earlier estimates announced on Wednesday morning.

Spectrum officials did not report the exact cause of the outage on the company’s website or in the alert; just that outages were due to “severe weather” in general.
