Lakers vs. Jazz: Prediction, Picks, Odds

The Los Angeles Lakers hosted by Utah Jazz on Tuesday, and if you want to do some last minute betting research, you’re in luck! We provide you with the latest point spread, moneyline odds and over/under numbers, as well as the information you need to make the smartest bet.

The Lakers return home after a quick two-game road trip with a 9-4 record and a five-game winning streak, and will look to make it six straight in what will be their second group stage contest in the Emirates NBA Cup. They won their first contest on Friday against the San Antonio Spurs and are looking to win the tournament for the second straight season.

Utah, meanwhile, has a 3-10 record, which puts it in last place in the Western Conference. The team is four games behind the 10th-place Sacramento Kings and is looking to find a way to give itself a chance to compete for a play-in tournament spot before April.

Lakers vs Jazz injury updates:

Jazz: Taylor Hendricks (right fibula fracture) and Walker Kessler (right hip bursitis) are out.

Lakers: Anthony Davis (left plantar fasciitis) is probable. Rui Hachimura (left ankle sprain) is doubtful. Bronny James Jr. (contusion to the left heel) is questionable. Jaxson Hayes (right ankle sprain), Jalen Hood-Schifino (left hamstring strain), Jarred Vanderbilt (recovery from right foot surgery) and Christian Wood (recovery from left knee surgery) are out.

Advice and prediction:

The Lakers have gotten off to a slow start and have had trouble putting teams away when they’ve had the chance. But they are doing a better job so far this season of beating inferior teams than they did last season when they lost a lot of games to such teams, especially in December and January.

The Jazz are much inferior to the Lakers, and it helps that the Lakers will be back within the friendly walls of Crypto.com Arena. They are unbeaten at home so far this season and have averaged 121.8 points at home in six contests.

Utah is simply a weak team across the board, ranking 27th in offensive rating and 29th in defensive rating. The one thing it excels at is offensive rebounding, and that’s a department where it might be able to attack LA

We would be cautious here and not suggest picking LA to cover the spread. But we feel confident that LeBron James and the team will win.

Forecast: Lakers 124, Jazz 115
