Cool and sunny today, another cold front next week

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Sunshine starts and ends this Friday. By lunchtime today, temperatures will be near 70 degrees with lightening northeast winds. Highs range from the mid to lower 70s throughout the area.

Cool and clear conditions for Friday night football. Jackets are required for those participating in the stands. Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s throughout the game.

Overnight lows will drop into the upper 40s for the Northshore. Milder temperatures will be seen along the coast, in the mid-50s.

Another cold front will pass next Tuesday. Rain chances remain high Tuesday morning/afternoon. After front passes, we quickly clear out for Wednesday and Thursday. Higher by then will only max out in the 60s!

Tropical Storm Sara has also formed. The movement is currently west at 5 mph with sustained winds at 50 mph.
