Demi Moore puts sex in gender at Governors Awards 2024 after saggy selfie jump scare

Demi Moore turned heads at the 2024 Governors Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night, just days after ringing in her 62nd birthday.

The Hollywood star – who shocked fans with a saucy selfie on Halloween, taken on the set of her new horror/sci-fi film The Substance – wowed in a strapless black dress with an asymmetrical hemline.

Moore looked incredibly youthful in the elegant look, which flashed her toned legs.

The striptease actress elevated her vibe with statement jewelry that included a jeweled choker and matching emerald chandelier earrings.

Her signature long and shiny dark locks were styled in a center part, tucked behind her ears and arranged in a uniform spiral as one side fell over her chest.

Demi’s timeless glow was on full display as she accentuated her features with flawlessly applied makeup.

Demi was totally unrecognizable in an Instagram carousel she uploaded for Halloween.

In honor of the spooky day, she shared striking behind-the-scenes photos from her latest project.

Her unmistakable features and shapely figure were obscured by an old fashioned full body prosthesis.

‘Have been holding on to these gems from @trythesubstance and today feels like an appropriate day to share them. Happy Halloween from Elisabeth Sparkle,’ she wrote in the caption, referring to her character in the film.

Demi leads the cast as a movie star whose career is in decline due to her age.

Elizabeth discovers a product called The Substance that she can inject to create a younger version of herself to act in her place.

Sue, played by 30-year-old Margaret Qualley, appears as the new iteration of Elizabeth, who has to switch minds between the young and old bodies every week.

However, the process of keeping Sue’s body functioning causes Elizabeth’s original body to dramatically age dramatically quickly.

In the film, Moore, whose ex-husband is Bruce Willis, appears in a nude scene that created a buzz at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Hollywood actress is rumored to have undergone hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of surgery, including a breast augmentation and nose job, according to reports circulating in the early 2000s.

But she shut down the reports as nothing more than speculation and insisted in 2007 that she had ‘never’ had cosmetic surgery.

Despite this, plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Solomos Hello! magazine, he believes that she may have started having surgery at a young age and maintained her appearance with minor procedures.

He praised her ‘incredible bone structure’ and suggested she could have had a lip lift, a procedure that reduces the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip.

It also smoothes some of the creases between the nose and upper lip that appear as the face ages.

It’s also possible that she had a face and neck lift or laser surgery – a popular anti-aging treatment that works by destroying the first layer of skin, which allows fresh skin cells to grow underneath.

Another possibility is that Demi has had anti-wrinkle injections like Botox around her eyes, said Dr. Solomos, which relaxes the muscles in the face to smooth out lines and wrinkles.

He suggested that she may also have had an eyelid lift, which is a procedure that removes excess skin, fat and muscle from the eyelids to change their shape and get rid of sagging.

After premiering in theaters in September, The Substance earned over $41 million at the global box office within weeks, more than double its $17.5 million budget.

In a new cover interview with Elle magazine for its Women in Hollywood issue, Demi opened up about what it’s like to see herself on screen without clothes on.

‘It’s like, ugh, it shakes me,’ she revealed.

“I didn’t ask for any adjustments because I knew it was in service of something more important than me,” she revealed.

“It felt like every hardship, every exposure of my own insecurities, would be worth it if I helped move the conversation forward,” she explained of The Substance, which offers a brutal unpacking of society’s expectations of older people women.
