Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo deliver a shock of glamor at the final “Wicked” premiere

Good news! Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are back on another red carpet!

For the final premiere of the whirlwind Evil press tour, the duo paid tribute to their characters from the original Broadway production. In particular, they seemed to take inspiration from the stage show’s musical number, “One Short Day,” which features Glinda and Elphaba in respective yellow and black outfits. Grande and Erivo followed suit, with both wearing couture interpretations of Emerald City looks.

Grande — who has spent much of the press tour dressed in Glinda’s trademark pink — traded in her traditional color scheme for a butter yellow dress. The gown had tendrils of smooth, cloud-like tulle wrapped around her torso and arms before billowing out in a spectacular train behind her. She accessorized with an array of sparkling Swarovski jewelry and green-tinted sunglasses (the latter accessory a nod to the glasses worn by the cast in the stage production).

For Erivo, the Tony winner went full of imagination with an inimitable creation from Schiaparelli’s Fall/Winter 2024 couture collection. She wore a black, ankle-length ball gown with a sleeveless velvet collared bodice and a sculptural ruffled tulle skirt. The skirt included a leg slit that opened with a spherical copper opening, which coordinated perfectly with matching bronze braided sequined tights. Erivo completed her look with black velvet fingerless opera gloves, a velvet feathered upright cap and black satin platform pumps with a sharp pointy toe.

Wicked: Part One is officially released in theaters on November 22.
