Moses Brown signed by Pacers to help at injury-plagued center spot

The Pacers is signing 7-2 center Moses Brown to a free agent contract that addresses the team’s most injury-riddled position, league sources confirmed to IndyStar. ESPN’s Shams Charania originally reported the signing.

Brown will not be available for Monday’s game against the Raptors, but a league source confirmed he will join the team on Wednesday. The Pacers hope he will be available for Wednesday night’s game against the Rockets in Houston, but that is not yet certain.

Starting center Myles Turner will miss Monday’s game against the Raptors with a sore right calf after scoring 34 points and grabbing nine rebounds in Sunday’s win over the Heat. Backups Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman are out long-term after tearing Achilles tendons this season. The Pacers had a roster spot open to add another player and naturally decided not to wait any longer.
