“We can confirm that Jamey Johnson was arrested on Sunday, November 17th in Williamson Country,” the Tennessee Highway Patrol told WTVF. – The incident is still under investigation.

Johnson recently made headlines with the release of “Midnight Gasoline,” which included the song “Sober” that gave a real insight into Johnson’s struggle with the bottle years ago.

Johnson told Billboard that alcohol “led him down a dark path to self-destruction.”

“I barely survived,” Johnson told the site. “Alcohol was a flammable way to destroy myself. Everything just went up in flames and you couldn’t put the fire out, you just had to wait for it all to burn and then try to rebuild when you were done. And it worked for me, as if I owed myself a better way to live than that.”

Johnson told Billboard he took his last drink in September 2011 and quit smoking marijuana in 2015. These days, he said he’ll indulge in devil’s lettuce from time to time, but he’s “sober for the most part.”

“But I don’t play games with alcohol,” he added.
