Marcello Hernández’s Domingo arrested by Sabrina Carpenter at concert

Live from the Kia Forum, it’s Domingo!

Marcello Hernández appeared as his viral Saturday Night Live character at Sabrina Carpenter’s Inglewood concert on Nov. 17, where he was promptly falsely arrested by the singer for being way too hot. As part of her ongoing Short n’ Sweet tour, Carpenter routinely “arrests” someone in the audience each night before performing her song, “Juno.”

“Sabrina, I’m here!” Hernández can be heard shouting in video recordings from the event. He then introduces himself as Domingo from “Miami, baby.” The blue-suited character made waves online last month as part of one SNL sketch that saw a group of bridesmaids reveal — to the tune of Carpenter’s hit “Espresso” — that the bride had hooked up with Domingo at her bachelorette party.

“Miami?” Carpenter asked him. “I wish you were from my bedroom. What are you doing later tonight?”

His response? “I’m the cute boy with the blue jacket and the thick accent,” he said with a cheeky nod to her song “Bed Chem.”

Carpenter explained that she was “so confused and overwhelmed” by his inherent charm, before adding: “Is there anything you want to say before I arrest you, Domingo?”

Naturally, he erupted into a modified version of him SNL speak, sing, “Come all this way / had to explain / Straight from Domingo / Sabrina’s a friend / She’s like my sister / But I wanted to join in.”

Consider Carpenter on board. “Like now?” she asked, removing her longer skirt to reveal a shorter one. When he agreed, she replied, “Okay!” She then gave him a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs as a parting gift before playing her next song.

Carpenter has previously voiced his support for off-key SNL sketch on her Instagram storyreportedly raving about how it was “very nice and on track.” In response, the episode’s host Ariana Grande posted the note to her own story, adding, “shut up we tried.”

In addition to appearing at Carpenter’s concert, Domingo also returned to SNL this weekend, this time performing as part of a messy baby shower skit set to the tune of Chappell Roan’s “Hot to Go!”

It’s also not the first time a celebrity has been arrested by Carpenter while out on the road. She took earlier Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown taken into custody at her concert in Atlanta last month.

“I’ve never fallen in love at a concert before,” Carpenter told Brown at the time. “But stranger things have happened, then.”
