Bengals WR Tee Higgins injures back vs Chargers in NFL Week 11

game

Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins suffered an apparent injury late in the first quarter of the NFL Week 11 game against Los Angeles Chargers Sunday night football at SoFi Stadium.

Higgins took a hard throw from behind from Chargers’ Denzel Perryman after an 8-yard catch from quarterback Joe Burrow on fourth down. He dropped the football, but he was ruled down.

Higgins was helped off the field by the training staff. He went to the blue medical tent to be evaluated and medical staff applied lotion to his lower back.

Higgins returned to the game early in the second quarter.

Higgins did not play in the Bengals’ games against the Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles due to a quad injury.

Higgins has 29 receptions for 341 receiving yards with three touchdowns over the five games he has played this season.

Higgins is in his fifth season with the Bengals. He missed the team’s first two games of the season with a hamstring injury.

Higgins returned to training on 19 September for the first time since being injured during training on 5 September.

Higgins had 42 catches for 656 yards with five touchdowns in 12 games last season.
