Trump tried to become Bo Nickal’s UFC manager while still in office – ‘He wanted to get me to the fights’

Donald Trump is a big fan of Bo Nickal and often mentions him during interviews.

The undefeated middleweight expects the former (and future) president to be in attendance at the UFC 309: “Jones vs. Miocic” event on Saturday. night (November 16, 2024) at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where Nickal is tasked with facing 185-pound veteran Paul Craig on the pay-per-view (PPV) main card.

It turns out that Trump and Nickal go all the way back to his collegiate wrestling days.

“It started in 2019, I won Nationals and was invited to the White House,” Nickal shared Uncrowned. “I told him I wanted to fight, he asked me if I needed a manager and he wanted to manage me for the fights. I thought, ‘I think you’re a little too busy.’ So it kind of started there, and after my second fight in the UFC, he was in the crowd and invited me to come play golf with him in Bedminster, so I flew back to New Jersey the week we played golf together, and since then he liked me for some reason i don’t know and of course i loved hanging out with him and learning and just talking about stuff so we’ve been hanging out a bunch since then .”

We may need to do a welfare check on Colby Covington.

Nickal remains undefeated with a record of 6-0, with all six wins coming by way of knockout or submission – five inside the first frame. That said, the promotion doesn’t seem to be in a big hurry to rush the former NCAA Division-1 National Champion out of Penn State to Top 10 competition — which is fine with Nickal.
