Rhode Island FC beats Charleston Battery 2-1, advances to USL final

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WPRI) — In its first year as a team, Rhode Island FC has advanced to the USL finals.

The team won their USL Conference Finals matchup by a score of 2-1 against the Charleston Battery on Saturday night.

Defender Karifa Yao and midfielder Noah Fuson both scored a goal.

They will play the winner of the Switchbacks FC vs. and Las Vegas Lights match that concludes on Saturday night.
