UFC 309 Live Results and Highlights – Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic

The main event saw Jon Jones attempt to defend his heavyweight belt for the first time against former two-time titleholder Stipe Miocic, who returned to the cage for the first time since 2021.

Tom Aspinall claims the UFC undisputed title in the next fight, with or without Jon Jones

Much of the pre-fight talk ahead of UFC 309 revolved around potential matchups with Alex Pereira and Tom Aspinall if Jones was able to defend his belt, and after a dominating victory “Bones” teased that he would stick around while Miocic announced his retirement.

The co-main event was a huge lightweight rematch between the division’s former champion Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler.

“Do Bronx” scored a second-round stoppage to claim the vacant lightweight belt when the pair first met at UFC 262, and despite a huge rally from Chandler in the final round, the Brazilian once again had his hand raised and called for a lightweight title shot.

The main card also saw Bo Nickal extend his undefeated record against Paul Craig after Viviane Araujo scored an upset win against Karine Silva, and the main card opened with Mauricio Ruffy’s decision victory over James Llontop.
