First Strictly Come Dancing drag queen will dance with a male partner

Tayce, 30, said: “I can’t wait to ‘sled’ on the Strictly ballroom floor. My partner and I are going to dance for our lives.

“In all seriousness, it’s an incredible honor to be the first drag artist to take part in Strictly Come Dancing. I hope I make all my Drag Race and Welsh fans proud. Sign me up for all the glitter, glam and disco balls.”

Tayce was a finalist on the second series of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK, and also works as a model and rapper. The performer has presented on BBC Radio 1, MTV and Sky.

Tayce will be paired in one of the six couples to appear during the Strictly Christmas special, which airs in December.
