Tennessee vs. Georgia simulation for EA Sports College Football 25

game

It’s Week 12 in Tennessee football, with No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers (8-1) travels to Athens to battle No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs (7-2). With their seasons on the line, we ran through 100 video game simulations of the classic rivalry to see what the real-world outcome might be.

Anything can happen in college football. And so far this season, our EA Sports College Football 25 simulations on PS5 have resulted in some exciting – often accurate – options.

However, this week’s game has additional stakes. If the Vols win, it could cement the team’s spot in the College Football Playoffs (now ranked No. 7) and the SEC Championship game. But a loss to Georgia could be damaging for the Vols.

Tennessee meets Georgia at 19:30 on November 16, a time not available in the video game. So we set kickoff for 20:00 and the weather to clear to match the Athens Saturday weather forecast at the time of the simulation.

Here’s what EA Sports College Football 25 predicted across 100 simulations for Tennessee vs. Georgia.

Tennessee vs. Georgia: EA Sports College Football 25 results

In this SEC rivalry game, the Bulldogs dominated with 74 wins, meaning the Volunteers won just 26 of the simulated games.

Most of Tennessee’s wins were by a touchdown or more, but a few were close. However, Georgia consistently beat Tennessee by wide margins and had a complete blowout in Game 36 by a score of 47-0.

Nine games went to overtime, but the Vols won just three of those matchups.

The Vols scored an average of 29.71 points per game and the Bulldogs scored an average of 37.86.

Tennessee average yards: 112.53 rushing, 280.24 passing and 521.87 total

Georgia’s average yards: 112.06 rushing, 344.44 passing yards and 576.34 total

Knox News reporter Mike Wilson predicts a 24-20 Georgia win, a score that matched our Game 62 simulation. Here’s what EA Sports College Football 25 predicts about the game.

  • Biggest UT win: 44-20
  • Biggest Georgia Win: 47-0
  • Top scoring game: 57-55, Georgia (OT)
  • Lowest scoring game: 27-7, Georgia
  • Nearest game: Three matches were decided by one point. Tennessee won Game 37 by a score of 24–23 and Game 78 by a score of 30–29. Georgia won Game 72 by a score of 25–24. In addition, 20 matches were decided by two or three points.
  • Biggest surprise: This week featured eight games in which one or both teams surpassed 700 total yards. But in Game 79, Georgia became the first team to surpass 800 total yards in our simulations, totaling 829. Overall, both teams produced plenty of offense.
  • Most impressive acting: Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava threw to wide receiver Chris Brazzell II for an 87-yard touchdown in Game 8. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck threw to wide receiver Colbie Young for a 94-yard touchdown in Game 25. Tennessee wide receiver Mike Matthews returned a kickoff for a 100-yard touchdown in Game 43. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck threw to wide receiver Arian Smith for an 86-yard touchdown in Game 98.
  • Most Valuable Players: Georgia quarterback Carson Beck took home the most MVP awards with 68. Only one Tennessee player received MVP: Quarterback Nico Iamaleava received 25 MVP awards throughout the simulations. Georgia players with at least one MVP: Wide receiver Dillon Bell, wide receiver Colbie Young, wide receiver Dominic Lovett and tight end Oscar Delp.

Final thoughts on this week’s EA Sports College Football 25 simulations

If these simulations are accurate, we’ll probably see the volunteers lose, but there are some things a video game can’t predict. The game doesn’t factor in Vols quarterback Nico Iamaleava potentially not playing in this game due to injury, and it doesn’t think morale can be any different for Georgia after last week’s loss.
