Tennessee’s official depth chart for the Georgia game

A look at Tennessee Football’s official depth chart for Saturday night’s game at Georgia, scheduled for a 7:30 Eastern Time start on ABC. Here’s how the Vols will line up on the road against the Bulldogs:

Quarterback

Nico Iamaleava is 144-for-221 (.651) for 1,879 yards, 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. He has rushed 64 times for 215 net yards and has a rushing touchdown. Iamaleava is averaging 208.8 passing yards per game. game and has a quarterback rating of 149.38.

Gaston Moore has appeared in five games and completed 16 of 25 passes for 201 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Freshman Jake Merklinger is 6-for-9 for 48 yards and has rushed seven times for 30 yards.

Iamaleava was ruled out at halftime of last week’s 33-14 win over Mississippi State with concussion-like symptoms, but has been cleared to play at Georgia.

Running back

Dylan Sampson has rushed 201 times for 1,129 yards and 20 touchdowns. DeSean Bishop has rushed 54 times for 372 yards and three touchdowns. Peyton Lewis has 39 carries for 187 yards and a touchdown and Cam Seldon has 14 carries for 74 yards in five games.

Bishop is out for the second straight week after being hurt on just his third snap in the 28-18 win over Kentucky two weeks ago. Lewis has 22 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown over his last two games, helping fill the void left by Bishop as the No. 2 running back.

Wide receivers

Dont’e Thornton leads Tennessee in receiving yards and touchdowns, catching 20 passes for 505 yards and four touchdowns. Bru McCoy has a team-high 27 receptions for 357 yards and Chris Brazzell II has 22 catches for 265 yards and two touchdowns. Squirrel white 25 catches for 304 yards and a touchdown.

Tight ends

Miles Kitselman has 13 catches for 183 yards and three touchdowns and Holden Staes has 12 catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Davis has 10 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown.

Offensive line

Tennessee’s regular starters on offense are Cooper Mays in the center, Andrej Karic at left guard, Javontez Spraggins at right guard, Lance Heard at left tackle and John Campbell at right tackle. Heard returned to Arkansas after missing two games.

Dayne Davis started at left tackle in place of Heard at Oklahoma and Larry Johnson have played instead John Campbell at right tackle while Campbell has been dealing with an injury.

Karic did not play in the second half of the Mississippi State game because of an injury, but was not on Tennessee’s injury report this week.

Arion Carter has a team-high 50.0 tackles, with 19 solo and 31 assisted, to go with an interception. He has 6.0 tackles for loss. Will Brooks has 41.0 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and four passes broken up.

James Pearce Jr. has a team-high 7.5 tackles for loss and Joshua Josephs have 6.0 and Bryson Eason has 4.5.

Pearce leads the Vols with 5.5 sacks and nine quarterback hurries. Jermod McCoy leads the team with six pass breakups and has two interceptions and 32.0 tackles.

Special teams

Max Gilbert is 16-for-22 on field goals with a long of 51. He missed a 53-yard attempt late against NC State, missed twice against Alabama, finished 1-for-3 and went 0-for-3 against Kentucky. He bounced back with a 4-for-4 night against Mississippi State. Jackson Ross has punted 34 times for 1,516 yards with two touchbacks, nine fair catches, 11 downed inside the 20 and six that went 50 or more yards.

Squirrel white has returned seven punts for 112 yards, with a long of 31. Jermod McCoy has returned six for 59, with a long of 23, and Boo Carter has returned eight for 111 yards, with a long of 35.
