My assessment: Easy
My score: 1 tip

I’m not a fan of salad and eat it very rarely, but even I was able to solve today’s easy Strands puzzle. Admittedly, I needed a hint to get started, because the ‘Dress for Lunch’ theme was just a little too far on the cryptic side. Strands are somewhat variable in this respect; some days the theme clues give the game away, some days they’re only really useful once you’ve used a hint (or found an answer by accident).

It’s a hard thing to get right though, and to be fair it was a simple task to find the likes of ICEBERG, ROMAINE, WATERCRESS and RADICCHIO when I had KALE on the board; even if you don’t eat these SALAD GREENS, you will definitely recognize the names.
