Telegram Game ‘Major’ Reveals Token Launch Date Amidst Airdrop Push

Telegram game Major has finally revealed when its long-awaited token will launch The open network (TON). Players have spent months engaging with the mini-app in hopes of a healthy slice of a future airdropwhich will likely follow the token launch closely.

Major is a simple bet on tap to serve genre that has dominated Telegram games this year. Rather than hiding the genre’s social tasks behind a clicker game, like other games such as Hamster Kombat has, it pushes this viral mechanic to the forefront – becoming more of an engagement machine than a full-fledged game.

Yet Telegram mini app has seen great (pardon the pun) success, and the project claimed in August that it had reached 30 million players. This is because the Major team has repeatedly told players that improving their in-game rating would correlate to how much of the future token they will receive.

Now after months of inviting friends, complete daily “Puzzle Durov” game challengeand sharing social posts, the big moment is just around the corner.

In a telegram announcement on Wednesday, Major said the token will launch on November 28 at 12 UTC. So far, the only confirmed exchange it will launch on is OKX, but the post noted that more exchanges will be announced soon.

Although the post does not explicitly mention the timing of the airdrop, it is likely to follow the token launch closely. In previous cases with tap to serve genre, most projects have required users to choose a payout method in advance, then tokens are sent to the selected wallet or account shortly after the token is generated.

With the token launch on the horizon, premarket trading has opened OKX. At the time of writing, traders are predicting that the token will launch at a price of $1.32. But premarket trading is extremely speculative in nature, as people often guess based on incomplete data regarding tokenomics and supply. As such, this number is often inaccurate.

At the beginning of the month, the project announced that “all farming methods” would be stopped on November 8 as the team prepared for the token launch. Since then, the games have remained playable, but Major no longer awards rewards to players.

“Didn’t we say November would be warm?” Major’s announcement added.
