Canelo Alvarez gives three word answer to Jake Paul’s world title

Probably the biggest fight Jake Paulhis career comes to a head when he meets the boxing icon Mike Tyson in the ring on November 15, but Paul already has his sights set on a future match with Canelo Alvarez.

Many consider the Mexican to be the greatest boxer of his generation. At just 34 years old and with a record of 62-2-2, he would likely be the toughest challenge ‘The Problem Child’ will ever face in the ring, but is that fight likely to happen?

Jake Paul has been angling for a meeting with Canelo Alvarez for some time and believes his skills match up well against the elite boxer.

While there is a significant difference in both their height and weight, Paul announced that he would love to stand across the ring from the much smaller and lighter Alvarez.

“(What’s next?) It’s Canelo. This moment will prove that I’m the face of boxing, the biggest attraction,” Paul said during an appearance on the Timbo Sugar Show. “Me vs. Canelo at 200 lbs for the world cruiserweight championship is the biggest fight, arguably even bigger than me vs. Tyson.”

“It makes so much sense. Canelo is on his way out. He wants a payday and I want to show the world that all the crap I’ve been talking about beating Canelo is actually true and I want the biggest upset in the history of boxing.”
