Mike Tyson beats Jake Paul during the final weigh-in

During the final weigh-in before their much-anticipated fight, things got intense between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, with the boxing legend beating the YouTube star.

Before Tyson, 58, and Paul, 27, let it all out in the ring at Texas’ AT&T Stadium in front of a global audience on Friday, November 15, the two had to be separated at the weigh-in a day earlier when Tyson reacted to Paul stepped on his foot with an open blow.

After the meeting, a source close to Tyson said ESPN that the former heavyweight champion reacted after Paul “intentionally” stepped on his foot when Tyson was tired of Paul trash talking him.

The two were quickly separated after the incident and Tyson was taken away as Paul amped up the crowd saying, “It’s personal now. He’s going to die!”

Earlier this week, on Wednesday, November 13, Tyson said that Paul should prepare for what’s coming his way in the ring.

“I bring the devil himself (to the ring),” Tyson said. “There are no feelings attached.”

Tyson continued, “My own mother has to be very careful if she’s going to be in the ring with me. When it’s over, it’s over. But while the process is going on, my intention is to hurt him. I hope he has the same intentions, otherwise he’s in trouble,” he said, according to the newspaper.

Paul, meanwhile, previously told PEOPLE that he draws inspiration from three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes for the game.

“It’s cliche, but there’s a reason he’s the best,” Paul said of the 29-year-old quarterback in Kansas City. “He continues to win and continues to show up and be a leader.”

“He really never has off days and his focus is something I admire,” he added of Mahomes.

Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul will stream live on Netflix on November 15 at 20 A.M.
