Today’s NEW Mini Crossword Tips and answers for Friday, November 15

If you missed Thursday’s NYT Mini, you can find the answers here:

ForbesToday’s NEW Mini Crossword Tips and answers for Wednesday 13 November

NEW Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper’s larger and longer crossword puzzle. Most days there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

Unlike its bigger sibling, the NYT Mini Crossword is free to play New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you must have a NYT Games subscription to access past puzzles in the archives.

NEW Mini is a fun daily distraction that usually takes no time at all. I’m trying to beat the default weekday grid in less than a minute. But sometimes I can’t quite figure out a clue or two and need to reveal the answer.

To help you avoid doing that, here’s NEW Mini Crossword answers (spoilers ahead, of course):

A few tough ones here today where I got tripped up. I thought vacuum cleaners picked up dust, not dirt, but with two similar letters that surely caused some problems down the line. “Udaho” isn’t a state, it turns out. I also thought dips were bobs, same length, one split. I also didn’t know who Mary Cassatt is until today. Her work looks great! Anyway, I’d like some pasta now.
