Did the X2 twins die? Twins Streamers Reported Dead, Fans Divided

The X2 Twins, Jesse and Jordan Eckley, have both been reported dead.

A TikTok account shared the news with little support, claiming the duo died of heart failure due to sweating too much.

“The twin players, known as the X 2 twins, both died recently. 23-year-old Jesse Eckley and Jordan Eckley both died. due to heart failure from sweating too hard in Fortnite. The twin players will be missed.” post read.

Despite going viral on social media and sparking panic for the twins’ welfare, there has been no corroborating evidence to suggest the twins have passed away.

The lack of detail in the post combined with the ridiculous cause of death makes it likely a death hoax.

And even commenters on the post aren’t too convinced.

The top comment on the death hoax reads: “Do the X2 twins know about this?”

Another comment read: “The X2 twins streamed literally 7 days ago,”

Others are concerned that the twins are indeed dead, but that is not a likely assessment at this time unless more corroborating evidence comes forward.

The X2 Twins are a pair of super skilled professional Fortnite players and online gamers from Australia.

In their heyday, the brothers were nearly invincible and earned significant revenue from their gaming activities streaming on YouTube, Twitch and more.

For the past several months, the X2 Twins have been on a bit of a self-imposed hiatus, which may have contributed to news of their deaths.
